Library Garden Planted up for the Winter

Over the last few Saturday members of Westbury Library and SusWoT have planted up the Library Garden. Certain varieties of Broad Beans, Garlic and Onions will grow slowly over winter, much faster in spring and be ready in early summer. This will leave enough time to put in summer vegetable plants such as tomatoes, runner beans, various brassics for a later crop. There are also some Leeks growing on the plot and a Calabrese Romanesco, the big green bassica in the middle.
