Library Garden Planted Up for the Winter

Members of the Westbury Library Group and SusWoT have prepared the Library Vegetable Garden for winter and planted garlic, onions, leeks and broad beans. Certain varieties of broad beans, garlic and onions will grow slowly over winter, much faster in spring and be ready in early summer. This will leave enough time to put in summer vegetable plants such as tomatoes, runner beans and various brassicas for a later crop.
